Peacemakers

        • We want a world where people are equipped to deal peacefully and creatively with the inevitable conflicts that arise for all of us.

We work with schools, units, clubs, committees, teams, collectives and groups of people regardless of age or anything else.

We support people within communities to build, strengthen and repair relationships at all levels.

Introductory workshop to using circles in the primary classroom

This is a single event.

Circles offer a space for reflection, for fun and for building and strengthening relationships in school. During this pandemic, children and adults in school will have experienced a range of emotions and events in their lives. Circles can bring people together and allow everyone to reconnect, discover and support one another. Within our bubbles in schools, it is important we keep learning the skills needed to build peace as we navigate these strange times together.

Peacemakers has been running circles in schools for over 30 years. We usually offer this training to staff in schools and train by modelling our approaches. For this online training we will recreate elements of our sessions through the use of break out rooms on Zoom and other platforms to make the experience as engaging as possible. There will be opportunities to share experiences of circle work and to consider how we can adapt our circles with social distancing in mind.

This is a basic introduction to circles for those who have never used them before or for those who want to refresh their practice. We will offer you a structure for planning, access to resources and ideas to get you started, in a relaxed session. We look forward to seeing you!
