THIS COURSE RUNS OVER 3 DAYS:
This 3-day Restorative Practitioner training course is primarily for people working in education, but will also be suitable for social care, health and community settings. It will equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to use a formal restorative conference facilitation process to resolve conflict and repair harm.
The course introduces participants to the philosophy and language of restorative practices. It also engages participants in identifying how to apply this innovative and relational way of dealing with conflict in their setting. Delegates have the opportunity to look at how to use restorative circles and informal restorative chats to create positive, caring and compassionate learning environments. Some action planning is included as part of the course so that you leave with concrete ‘next steps’ for your organisation.
The course is delivered by a practitioner, who is accredited by the Restorative Justice Council (the membership body for restorative practices in the UK). This training course comprises three days training (21 hours) with additional reading. This training course has been set at entry level practitioner (level C).
Cost: £350 per person. This includes 3 days training, a hot lunch each day, all resources and follow up when back in your school/setting.
