Peace education helps to build better relationships in the groups and communities which we are part of and to create the building blocks of peace in our wider world. Just like we teach the building blocks of English and Maths, children can learn the fundamental skills they need to build peace – and schools and teachers can get support to help nurture these skills.
Small actions can make a big difference. Peaceful school communities are built brick by brick and where you start depends on your setting.
We’ve got lots to help you – whether you are looking to be inspired, tips on how to make your first act or resources to help you on your way we’re here to help.
What is peace education?
This short animation explains what it is and how you can make it happen.
Where do I start?
Peaceful school communities are created by small actions and where you start depends on your setting. This starter pack has tools, activities and ideas for you to explore in any order. They can be adapted to other settings too.
What else can I use?
We have a really great resource section – many of the activities and games are free to access. Need something about anger? to build relationships? to understand conflict? There’s so much available.
Is there anything else?
Each term we share new resources and our news. Would you like to receive our mailing?
